Gutter and inspection cleaning project in Champagne Fontaine
14 metres of skypole required ...
The gutters on this property were inspected with our Skycam equipment. The gutters, especially on the north facing side where full of standing water and debris.
We vacuumed all the gutters, cleaning out all the debris which consisted mostly of broken tile and mortar. Very likely this has been in the gutter since the renovation works completed many years earlier!
Gutters left in clean SKYVAC condition.

Autumn is turning to winter, and so it’s time to put the garden to bed. Pruning and tidying the shrubs, lifting the leaves which will be ongoing for the next month. The oak leaves are last to fall.
Whilst on site we inspected the gutters. Of special interest, the gutters to the towers, which are difficult to access by ladder. We found the majority of the gutters to be clear, but some areas quite heavy with silt and old tile debris, impeding the water flow.
Soon had the gutters gleaming, so although out of site, we know they will perform next time it rains.
Dealing with Moss
No gutters to clean on this building, but the tile gulleys have become moss havens!
When it rains the water will back up behind the blockage and water will ingress under tile. Over a period of time this will cause damage to the structure of the roof and may cause leaks inside the building. On north facing roofs the moss can quickly get a hold, even on a relatively new roof.
We advise keeping roofs clean before the job becomes a mammoth task. In storms, some of the moss will be dislodged, so also important to keep gutters clean and check regards at base of gutter down-pipes for loose debris collection.
